LOCATION – INTERNATIONAL PORT SVISHTOV is the southern most port on the river destination Danube-Rein-Main and the second biggest Bulgarian port on the Danube river. It is situated on the southern most part of the Danube river on the right riverbank (43° 37’ north) - 554th km. from the river outlet and 1825th km. from Port Regensburg.

The connection with the interior is by railway through levski Railway station and the convenient roads to Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Targovishte, Lovech and Southern Bulgaris – Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, atc.
